I bought a Google Home and two Home Minis mostly to act as intercoms so I don’t have to yell all over the house. The Home also does a great job playing music.

You’re not an expert. You’re lot even a novice. I’m not sure if you’re clueless or trolling, and I hate to bring this comment out of the grays, but:

I was so ready to be snarky about the Aflac duck thing, but I have to admit after reading it seems really sweet and now I’m kinda misty eyed and its actually really cool that they are donating these to kids with cancer. Damn you, Aflac!

You’re looking at the wrong big clocks. My folks just put a four season room on their ranch. One of the walls is adorned with a 5' clock. Took me about ten minutes to see that it was, in fact, a working clock.

It is a race between Google and Facebook to see who creates Skynet first.

So I taught Frederick Douglass to high school students, and in order to understand the reasons he was focusing on particular arguments in his narrative, we looked at the arguments slave owners were making for slavery. It was an exercise in destroying racist fallacies by adhering to core humanitarian values. The

You missed the point here, admit it. Toyota Highlander sells for 30k moderately equipped and after 15 years private sale 5-10k depending on mileage etc and trades in for 3k. BMW 7 series sells for 100k and after 15 years sells for 5-10k or trades in for 3k. That is what is great about this list.

Am I missing something? When I clicked on the Daily Beast article I was expecting there to be some moral issue. Why should I stop using an app that’s failing?

I’m confused as to how keeping the doors open in the daytime will prevent people sleeping in the garages AT NIGHT.

Ours didn’t threaten fines for the trash can thing, but it was an issue because of bears. Too much trash being strewn throughout the neighborhood at night by bears, and it was either bear-proof garbage cans (expensive) or just leave them in your garage until morning.

Yes the “wait not everyone is retired and wakes up at 4:30?” HOA problem.

Oh, thank you! I worked with a “nearly nude” in New Jersey and she was always complaining that her plunging neckline, midriff exposed person was bitterly cold and one day I just could NOT take it anymore and told her to “put on a sweater.”

I’ve seen him play a Cyclops Klansman in O Brother Where Art Thou, I’ve seen him play a psycho kidnapper in that Cloverfield sequel, I’ve seen him play a lot of different things, but “Dan is a Trump supporter” might be the most vile role of his career.

He may or may not. Celebrities aren’t necessarily better at managing their money than anyone else, and talent & critical acclaim don’t always translate into $$$.

So, they would expect me to wake up at the ass crack of dawn and remember to put my trash out? Thankfully, our city ordinance lets us put them out there a day early. So, when I come home from work, the day before trash day, I bring my trash cans out.

Install some murphy beds in the garage and they wouldn’t be any the wiser.

Not only is it stupid to require garage doors to be open, it doesn’t even accomplish their goal. You could have someone staying in your garage, but they could go to work between 8 and 4, and the HOA would never see them.

Calling a clothesline a solar device is extremely tenuous. Clotheslines work just fine (albeit perhaps not as fast) even with no sun exposure at all.

“Oh hello, nothing out of the ordinary here fellow neighbor.“

Sooooo... make it even easier for people to get into the garage when the reason for this was because people were getting into the garage.. ok... I get it now. I mean I do get the thought process behind an open garage but in the end it will lead to all kinds of other issues. How about we have another HOA meeting to
