Reminds me of this story (Which may or may not be real)

Who wants to read an article about filling out forms?

That’s right.

It should be noted that Hawai’i wasn’t a state at the time; it was a US territory until 1959. These bills are still widely available here at collector shows, but go for considerably more than face value.

No. Children are not property; they have rights, too. And your right to religious freedom does not include the “right” to torture or kill your child. This child had a right to receive medical care, a right that was taken from him and led directly to his death. As a society, we regularly balance legitimate health and

That was my first thought as well. Maybe mounting them to another board and mounting just that board to the siding would be a better option.
It’s a novel idea certainly, but seems like a lot of work for no cost/time savings.

Preface—I hate that I’m going to be “that guy.” Please proceed.

The lack of distinction between Certified Nurse Midwives and lay midwives is confusing and frustrating. My daughter was delivered by an amazing CNM (in a hospital), and I hate to think that people like the midwife in this story are hurting the reputation of professional, educated midwives.

The sticky stuff is usually made with a fancy basket

Exactly. When looking into a birth center the midwife there advised us *immediately* of her transport criteria, as well as test results of mine that she would use to decline to treat us. In some states being a midwife is next to illegal and this isn’t helping. I ended up using a certified nurse midwife and delivered

Your child’s life is not a test of your faith. Your religious beliefs do not trump common sense and they had to have known the danger, but disregarded it instead, holding out for a miracle.

CG or not I would bet this Pope could do it for real

I’ve definitely noticed that people use their phones and tablets interchangeably, particularly as they approach one another in size. That’s one of the reasons I’ve resisted buying a smaller iPad or a bigger iPhone (currently have a 5S). I have a classic iPad, an iPhone 5S, and a 13” MacBook Pro. At those size

Bring along a power brick of some sort. If you’re on an extended flight and plan on doing these things to help pass the time, there’s a good chance you’ll fly (pun intended) through your phone’s available power. A power brick will keep you going ‘til you can get to an outlet.

Maybe they were thinking that for those you have to use your lap or the tray table, which introduces the dreaded seat-recline debate?

That’s a great point about dropping the device into airplane mode. Good way to ensure nothing needs to connect!

The reason the videos wouldn’t play was probably due to DRM. If you download movies for offline viewing that have DRM embedded, they still need an Internet connection to check that your license is valid, otherwise they won’t play. Had it happen to me on a cross-country flight once.

i just did 15 hours from China. it’s called Valium.

The few times a year I fly, I always forget and then scramble the night before to put together an offline playlist. Worth the time. If you have Android, load up some videos files as well. I’m sure iPhone can do the same if it was downloaded thru iTunes or formatted correctly. With Android, move the file to the phone,
