My issue is that huge profits are being made by private industries and I highly doubt the cost saving are being passed on to consumers.

I really just want either a gift card or to be able to change it for another bag. It’s a laptop bag, but it’s too small for any laptop I’ve owned since I bought it.

reminds me I have a bag I bought about 10 years ago and never used and need to return.

I was kidding! The potluck thing doesn’t work as well if the majority of your guests live out of town. Or don’t cook.

Having a backyard wedding isn’t always the cheapest thing, and some people just don’t understand that. You have to either have all the supplies on hand, or rent them. Sometimes it is just cheaper to go to a hall or restaurant.

My partner hates the outdoors. We’re going to need a place that has four walls and a roof.

Carrying a crockpot full of food on a flight is perfectly reasonable, no?

Yeah, people who say ‘oh I had a simple backyard affair’ grind my fucking gears. Guess what—my backyard is teeny tiny. It’s too small to even have a cookout beyond immediate family. And so are the backyards of all my close friends. So, no, there will be no festivities in anyone’s backyard for me. As much as I hate the

Your comment implied you *were* making a value judgement, since you said “I don’t understand...”. You don’t need to understand why other people make the choices they do, and judge whether those choices are ones of diminishing returns or not.

I mean, I get where she might be coming from. Usually chocolate milk doesn’t taste exactly like chilled hot chocolate.

Because some people like to have fancier parties. I don’t understand what’s so hard to understand about that.

$18,000 is a lot more than 5-10% of A LOT of people’s income. No, *most* people can’t max out their 401k, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Hm. That is something to think about.

OH! Thanks!

? They took it from your room?

My godson’s baptism gown has been passed down for quite a number of years! I wish my family had that tradition (I was old as hell when I was baptized, though I do still have a bit of the fabric used to make my dress)

I can barely fit into clothes from last year, and your mom is wearing clothes from 50 years ago? LOL!

Same here. I weigh literally more than twice what my mother did when she was married (yes, I’m fat but my mom was incredibly skinny). We’ve decided that I’ll use the fabric for something.

......I dislike it. Wasn’t gonna say anything but you went first.....

You can sometimes get into one at a cheaper rate after the train departs, if there are any available.
