Most public school uniforms seem to be polos or button downs and khaki pants or skirts (with most kids choosing the pants) so I think you'd be okay there.

I've been on both sides of the fence, and the uniforms were much easier. If you haven't experienced both then it would be hard for you to understand that concept.
