It doesn’t matter that the hospitals “don’t turn people away” although when they get too full they may as well b/c the have to triage and decide who gets care and who does not.

Am of the same persuasion as you. Had the same question.
It just says removed from Earth, maybe he meant sent on a luxury Space X cruise to Mars?
I’m fervently hoping these people have all been shunned by their less stupid family, friends, and acquaintances and thus when they get sick it kills just them and their ilk. I know some innocent people will get hurt because of their actions but I really want there to be the silver lining that this kills more assholes…
braless women unite! I haven’t worn one in weeks and it’s glorious. Wouldn’t it be great if quarantine meant the end of bras?!
I hate that a pandemic is being politicized. I think some people would slit their own wrists if someone told them it would “own the libs.”. I thought we left that kind of thing behind in elementary school but apparently elementary school level (bad) behavior is the new presidential.
I’d like to know the gender (and race, but gender most of all) of the people pooh pooing Stacey Abrams. My hunch is it’s mostly men (expressing either overt or unconscious bias) and trolls.
The part about how you’d stay home if the VP pick was Harris or Klobuchar doesn’t make sense. If too many people stay home, Trump wins again. And the GOP continues to stack the courts with radical right wing activists. If you have to protest vote, do it in the primaries. A general election, especially this one, is…
She’s not running for president, that’s the difference.
Remembering this the next time the GOP tries to restrict abortion. Suddenly when GOP men’s money is involved they’re no longer pro-life. Very interesting...
This is a really frustrating topic for me.
Is there already a term/meme for women who sell out other women? Because if not let’s make one and she can be called Phyllis, as in:
I’m willing to be those who make minimum wage take the most abuse. I know I took far more abuse when I worked fast food than I ever have since.
Similar, but doing better at home. The people I had to interact with were sooo toxic for my mental health that solitary confinement mixed with zoom meetings is better.
This isn’t addressed to Esther, it’s addressed to anyone who is contemplating a protest non-vote due to the nominee being Biden. I ask those people, please think of your fellow decent humans when you vote, because you’re not hurting the party or the candidate with a protest vote, you’re hurting people.
I’m not on “Biden’s side,” I’m on the practical, harm-reduction side. Voters who don’t see Trump as an existential threat are those who would vote for him in the first place, and there is no helping or reaching those people. They are not making decisions on the basis of fact and logic, they are reacting with their…
In the midst of a pandemic with a literal madman as incumbent is no time to throw a fit because your candidate didn’t win. For the love of all decent people, please put your grudges with the democratic party aside and vote for Biden.
Returning adult student here. My school is eager to re-open. I do not know why (well I do, it’s in a very right-wing area and the mentality of the school over all reflects that). We’re doing fine online. There’s no reason to bring people back in contact if it’s not necessary.
That has never been the tradition. It has always been pick someone capable ONLy if they’re male. The difference is this time you’re clutching your pearls at the mere possibility that someone capable will be picked and for once in history won’t also be required to be male.
As a matter of fact gender does matter. If it didn’t, you wouldn’t be bitching about the possibility of breaking the tradition of always making a man the vp candidate.
