I would wager, in the real world, people have come out to shop a base model Genesis versus a loaded Maxima more often than people shop a Camry versus a Maxima, as quoted in the article.
Mazda 6 is a mid-sizer. This is a full size car. Not too much distinction, but this really competes with the Avalon, Taurus, Impala, Azera (maybe Genesis), etc.
