I have to say, the kid did this with the best of intentions. Chinese food and fixing cars is something I think we can all agree upon. A lot better than running away (probably the most likely excuse).

But Nissan doesn't spin their trucks off into their own brand. Or market them at all, for the most part. Or make a semi-competitive truck.

A very distant third to Ford and Chevy, though.

The 3.5L Ecoboost in the trucks is the same way. I get people out of a 5.0L or 5.4L, and they whine and holler until they put their foot down. Then the smiles come. If only we had an Ecoboost Raptor...

It's funny, because the Focus ST engine is the same as the one in the Fusion's upper options (albeit with a different tune). People judge these engines before driving them all day long.

That's a funny way to spell Blessed, you know.

Well, they are reserving the power for the MKZ with the 3.7L. 305 HP (V6 Mustang engine) with AWD.

240HP and 270ft/lbs of torque is too little for this guy's family sedan, apparently.

I sell Mustangs for a living. Yes, I've driven one. And a ton of E39s, including an Alpina B10 with a stick. And a few Miatas here and there. Never a 240SX though. I, personally, can go faster on most roads in an ST than in a Mustang, too.

Lift off. You can handbrake turn, I guess, but I've never felt the need to, besides to show off.

Not that long ago we priced out a Taurus SHO upfitted for Police duty (instead of a regular Interceptor) and the township thought THAT was overkill on the HP. Little did they know...

To all the people hating on the STs for being FWD: Please go drive one. They are a lot easier to get sideways than you are thinking. Surprisingly so, in fact. Thank you.

On another note, I sold a Corolla S at a Ford store yesterday. I feel dirty in telling him how it was the "sporty" version.

And if he didn't, he wouldn't be Kimi.

I just checked, the "official" 2014 Fusion order guides aren't distributed to everyone, yet. I'll let you know as soon as I see one on FMCDealer (where they get posted after they get finalized), because seeing it there would give us more conformation.

But when you think about it, does it really make a difference in the end of the day? It's sound that shouldn't be there, but it artificially is. In either case, it's still the sound of the mechanical engine, so are they really that different?

Well, to be fair, a lot of fan favorites do this as well, not just the BMW M's. The Focus STs have an exhaust designed with a mechanical sound symposer to let more sound in the cabin based on user imput, as do new Porsche models. 2011+ GTIs use an electronic enhancement called a Soundaktor (speaker mounted in engine

Although I mostly sell Ford, I also sell Lincolns (mostly to old folks, obviously). I've never been so scared in the passenger seat of a car in my life than on some of these drives. I had someone set off the Forward Collision alarm on a test drive in a 25MPH zone yesterday. I've had to grab the wheel before. I don't

Funded. Needed something new for my office.
