Sorry, I was thinking about "normal" cars. I put tractor-trailers in a different class, because for some reason, I figure most of those folks would get the "hi-beam flash" thing, since I seem them do it to each other.

This is normal. There is going to be a certain percentage of the population that hate the police/government etc., that are going to post things about the end of the republic in situations like this. That's life. It has zero to do with the reasonableness of any specific situation. Does this department need this rig?…
What I love is that government entites will talk about saving taxpayers money because something is "covered" by a federal "grant." Because that Federal handouts came from the unicorn money tree, and not the taxpayers.

Here is a pet-peeve of mine. People using their bright ass fog lights all the time when there isn't any fog, and especially on their jacked-up four wheel drives where they sit about eye-height in a normal passenger car. If it ain't foggy, you don't need four headlights on.....
There are a lot of people out there who have made a career out of number three above... and by that I mean "that wasn't my responsibility."
