@Unholy_Hero: The judge seem to imply that he does indeed know what goes in in there, like he said prisoners aren't intelligent or reasonable so being put in prison on child-related sex crimes to them means pedophile, even thought clearly the culprit isn't a pedophile.

@YamiKarasu: It's called being smart. He doesn't have to mean it, but he knows its easier and smarter to put out the fire with an apology rather than get into an argument and defend what you said, risking escalating the situation and garnering more media attention.

I have no problem with his comment, I'm sure it wasn't motivated by homophobia and instead was a comment that well frankly anyone on the street would say.
