NOTHING was worse than that Joel Schumaker movie.

And alien strip club.

I was astonished to see that Rapture references weren't either first in the comments, or at least in the top 5!

It's not elf porn at all, as far as I can remember. I haven't read it since... oh, maybe middle school, so my opinion is probably very skewed, but it was a pretty good "serious" (but not relentless grim, like GoT) fantasy series.

Because, as any Hollywood executive "knows", The Public doesn't want female heroes.

I think it's the relatively bulky shoulders and Popeye forearms.

Unless, you know, the goal wasn't to create something EXACTLY like the scene from Aliens—but rather, to create something "along those lines". Nothing says that that the artist actually meant this as a direct Aliens homage—Meredith is the one making that connection.

Um... how is it that *every* company somehow pays "well below average for the industry?"

Huh. Having played WoW, TOR, DDO, & LOTRO, I can honestly say that the population of the free-to-play LOTRO is far and away the most mature and polite. WoW is a nightmare of immature brats. DDO is somewhere in between, but closer to LOTRO than WoW.

Being that I have a wife, full-time job, and 3-year old kid, F2P is pretty much the only model I can justify. While other people play like 100+hours a month on WoW, I'd be lucky to manage 10-15 under most circumstances, and I hate paying "full price" for access to a game that I'm barely playing compared to everyone

Ironically I've never heard anyone else say that, but I've been saying it for quite some time—how did anyone ever get that show greenlit in the first place?!

Oh, absolutely. That's sort of where I was going with this (just because the setting/background seems like it would be really dark if it were real, doesn't mean you can't make a stupid, harmless sitcom out of it. It's all in the presentation.)

I can only fervently hope and pray that Jame's Quach's name is pronounced "quack".

Quote: "(A show about freedom fighters who use terrorist tactics against an empire that relies on pervasive surveillance and overwhelming military power pretty much has to be dark and intense — you couldn't do that in the more friendly, cheerful mode of recent Syfy shows..."

That's not a smile. That's a baring of teeth just before blood is spilled.

Maybe when the keepers of their mother tongue decided to exile them all to The Land of Ten Thousand Venomous Horrors? :-P

That's a good point about Venus, but then Venus is much more massive (~0.9G) than mars (~0.39G) so it would hold onto its atmosphere better in that regard. Last I knew, it was fairly widely suspected that Mars once had a thicker atmosphere, but was tripped of it over billions of years of exposure to solar winds due

yeah, but (and I admit I've only seen it once, a while ago) didn't we actually see the spear come OUT THE FRONT of his chest? That seems a little hard to fake, particularly in a way that Loki himself would buy into.

In all fairness (after I got done saying HELLS YEAH!) it occurs to me that this might be an extended, rather than deleted scene. As in, a deleted "scene" that was part of a larger sequence. They seem to do that a lot these days—just a few shots of a scene get edited out, and then the "deleted scene" is the original

Do... do they get better again?
