@DevourerKwi: You might be thinking about the excellent ]BabyType program. It's not free (though under $20), but it has plenty of features to keep toddlers entertained without messing things up! We've used it for years to amuse grandbabies.

@jsmorley: You may have, but a search certainly doesn't reveal it.

@bbobjoe: *Big* thanks to bbobjoe and jsmorley for drawing this to my (our) attention. I did a lengthy investigation of font managers (including Cfont Pro, which is OK, but hardly outstanding) about a month back, but somehow never stumbled across NexusFont. Now I have, and I'm better for it. A wonderful tool!

The [download.com] link points to an older version, though (at least it does as I write this).

VOTE: FreeCommander

Another vote here for ]FreeCommander. I've tried most dual-pane file managers, and FreeCommander is the one I like best. Feature rich, well maintained, stable, and free.

My favourite file manager, FreeCommander, displays two separate fields in its file rename GUI, so you can rename the file, or change its extension, independently.

Contrary to an earlier comment, bundle wrapping takes up the least amount of room possible in a bag, as there is zero unused/wasted space involved. This is not true of methods like rolling, plastic bagging, vacuum bagging, etc., all of which introduce additional packing volume in some way or another.

I've used this method for over a dozen years, and many hundreds of flights. Though there have been a number of TSA inspections along the way (and several equivalents in other countries), I've yet to have anyone unwrap my clothing bundle.

Hmm-m-m ... for a pretty similar price ($12.77 at the moment), you can get four AA batteries, each with more than double the capacity (2700mAh vs. 1300mAh). Put them in a tiny, but modern charger, and you'll have them 98% charged in an hour (rather than 90% charged in five hours), and you won't have had to keep your

Audacity, of course, is also free ... and open source ... and an excellent doer of all things audio, in addition to sound capture.

Thanks very much for this ... small, clean, lightweight, fast, it's a great improvement over Daemon Tools. I use it to keep my Oxford OED running at all times.

Explorer replacements are, I think, a fairly personal thing. I used xplorer2 for over a year, and while it is very full-featured, I found that for the things I do most often the user interface was a lot more awkward than I felt necessary. So I switched to freeCommander, and have found its UI much more to my taste.

Actually, in Keybreeze I can simply make a keyword called "s". But as I wrote, in SlickRun (which I otherwise prefer), this seems not to achieve the desired behaviour.
