That is, until you hit them with one too many pies and they become a murderous lunatic bent on revenge.

I know Barstool has always had a conservative tilt, but apparently they’re totally mask off now as the alt-right’s favorite sports media outlet. Jesus Christ.

I think she’s specifically referring to the media constantly putting all of her relationships under a microscope and implying that there’s something inherently wrong with her that causes her relationships to often be chaotic and short-lived. She’s sort of outgrown that reputation, but it was quite pervasive for a

I either didn’t know MIA was anti-vaxx or I did and repressed it. Either way, what a fuckin’ bummer, man.

DE is the ultimate “they don’t make ‘em like this anymore” game. Playing it instantly transported me back to the CRPGs I played growing up in the late 90s/early 2000s. It’s so rare to see a game that trusts its audience so much these days. In general, I find video game writing to be... utilitarian at best, as someone

Check out S3E1 of Hip Hop Evolution on Netflix. It goes into the context behind his murder and possible motives. It doesn’t really say definitively why he was killed but it presents it as a sort of inevitability given what was going on with the East/West rivalry and what part it played in his (and Biggie’s) death. Also

Too many people, especially on the internet, curse like they just discovered what bad words are. I find humor that relies entirely on cursing—e.g., that stupid “Go The Fuck To Sleep” book that was all the rage like 10 years ago—extremely unfunny and tryhard.

Wow, I’m truly shocked the needle pit was named the best. I only watched the first 4 movies but that was far and away my least favorite trap. It just felt extremely lazy, much like most of the traps in that one. Even as someone who hates needles, it did nothing for me.

Specifically, those graphics look terrible on modern displays. They looked much better on CRTs.

Jesus, what a terrible opinion. I didn’t even know this was a thing anyone thought, ever. While Dark Fantasy is almost unquestionably his “best” album, 808s is probably my favorite. It’s the album that converted me into a Kanye fan.

I disagree with basically everything you said here on like a complete polar opposite level but Ye is in fact not his worst album because Donda 2 exists. I used to be a massive Kanye fan--like, saw Jesus Is King in IMAX level of fan--and I couldn’t be bothered to listen to D2 more than once. Once was waaaay more than

This is one of the most condescending posts I’ve ever read, and it also implies that this same thing hasn’t been done throughout the entire history of the music industry. I mean, basically every pop act since at least Elvis has been “manufactured” by record labels to some degree—and he certainly sold a ton of records

Yeah but that shit is dumb and shouldn’t be encouraged. That’s the most pointless way to engage with a narrative. It’s the very definition of missing the forest for the trees. The whole “Cinema Sins” mindset has permanently damaged the credibility of legitimate film criticism (and I mean “criticism” in the academic

“Other people have also done bad things” is the lamest possible reason to excuse a known domestic abuser, racist, and anti-Semite. Like, are we supposed to just let people off the hook, either legally or in the court of public opinion, because someone, somewhere may have hypothetically done worse but didn’t get

Also, this is a metaphor that’s been around since at least the 50s, probably longer. Obviously sexual mores were considerably different back then.

James Carville is also almost 80 years old, and is a Clinton Democrat, which is much closer to a classic Republican than a true progressive. The Conways are also older (late 50s/early 60s) and are perhaps one of the clearest examples of how differing politics can be irreconcilable in today’s climate.

That was true for older generations but I don’t think that’s the case anymore. I don’t know anyone who would date someone with wildly contrasting politics these days, even casually. It seems most likely that the dude just doesn’t have much conviction in his beliefs.

I mean, is it completely out of the question to expect someone who’d later write a book about what was essentially a Reddit meme that got out of hand to be “pretty online?”
