There’s something overwhelmingly depressing about the fact that this guy faces life in prison to release information that most Americans can’t be bothered to give two shits about. Despite the fact that the information is the systemic theft of our rights to privacy.

Edward Snowden is a thoughtful man whose disclosures made us freer. He should be pardoned, but there’s nobody I see in the presidential field who will have the will to do so or the political capital to get away with it.
