People like to shit on Starbucks - or more specifically, they like to shit on people who go to Starbucks - because I guess coffee is the one thing that everyone has decided you can just make at home (even though you theoretically could just make any food or drink at home) and so the $4 coffee that everyone originally

The comment above yours is literally how using alt-F4 doesn’t work for specific games, so what good is “take some lessons on how computers work” when the command can just be altered by the devs anyway?

They’re protecting themselves from having their license plate number (and the real life info that provides) to an otherwise anonymous online account.  Facebook generally uses real names but someone posting their car to reddit or twitter might not want their those accounts to be as easily identifiable

Do you think that Elden Ring is a constantly online multiplayer focused game?  It’s barely even a multiplayer game except in the loosest sense of the word.  Even if you’re playing in offline mode there’s no actual pause.

Management generally won’t let you post a “we’re on strike” article, but the GMG union twitter account was posting updates.  The trickle of articles that did get posted over the last few days were all partner articles from overseas Kotaku affiliates not covered by the union

I don’t think anyone is implying that “handshake available upon request” is not an absurd exaggeration of the type of interactions people have in stuffy offices but the entire premise of the show is an absurd exaggeration of work/life balance so it fits.

The vaccine (unboosted) may not be as effective at preventing infection, but it absolutely is effective at preventing hospitalization and death, which is really what the vaccine is supposed to do anyway.

I saw a twitter thread arguing for 30 billion with a B tests to be sent out so that every single person has the supply to test 2x/week for a year, and while I agree that 4 tests per household is low, I gotta ask what the fuck do people think that swimming in tests is going to accomplish? It’s becoming undeniably clear

I noticed one on the interior of a squad car when we were stopped next to each other at a red light. But a quick google images search shows it’s pretty common, and these are only the ones that make the news.

She seems to have better business and money management sense than 99.999% of twitch.  If those fruit were really so low why is she the only one grabbing them?

Halo 4 definitely deserves more credit than people give it, but holy hell are the prometheans terribly designed. Uninteresting, unfun bullet sponges that only challenge you by forcing you to run out the ammo in your (good, fun) weapons and be forced to use the (unsatisfying, unmemorable) weapons that they drop. It’s

Oh boy can’t wait to dive into the comments here

I would venture a guess that the actual vast majority of console gamers use their TV speakers, or maybe a sound bar, with surround setups being an incredibly tiny percentage of the overall userbase.

You’d probably get a short ban, what’s your point? Twitter not differentiating doesn’t mean there’s not a difference.

Halo 4 campaign was bad because of terrible enemy and weapon balancing, but I think 5 was pretty fun all throughout.  That said, from what I’ve seen so far Infinite’s campaign looks much more promising than either.

Not necessarily clickbait as much as words that denote a certain level of income/time to retirement ratio where a Roth the most sense

Most estimates I’ve found put the royal family’s net worth at between $500m and $1b. I’d bet that’s on the conservative side, and anyone who says that’s only “comfortably wealthy” can fuck right off.

The caping for Nintendo is getting ridiculous.
