True. You could work around it with IFTTT but I agree, it’s probably more than the average user would want to deal with.

I haven’t tried to actually send a message in a while, but it looks like the functionality is still there. It tries to ask you to use messenger but you can X out of it and it brings up your messages.

Ditch the facebook app entirely - Add a link to the mobile site to your homepage and get pretty much the exact same functionality plus working messenger built in, minus all the battery nonsense and storage issues of the app.

I don’t think he was meaning to be blase, I think he was just surprised because it really didn’t look like much. I had to watch the replay a few times before I even realized what caused it.
