@gundaman: You could make that argument about any new feature ever added to a sequel, for any game. It's not like people were clamoring for jetpacks and bubble shields for Halo 2 - they played the game that they had and were (mostly) satisfied with it. Features come when they come.

@Diziet_Sma: Putting aside how else they could easily denote a pile of metal and bolts and gears as male or female, 11 girls who may not have otherwise had the opportunity created this. Let them dress it however they want.

@Killer Toilet: I don't really understand why people think this is so bad. I can understand preferring to keep the old way, but a lot of people are really killing Google over it as if they are doing something awful. Am I missing something?
