Explain, in as many words as it takes, how “I wish cops wouldn’t kill people” is one side or the other of a political spectrum.

I mean... the rest of the civilised world has a considerably lower rate of spectacular car chases on live tv without a considerably higher rate of unapprehended criminals merrily terrorizing the populace. So I’d wager there are other ways to go about this.

I’ve been held up at gunpoint twice and the cops didn’t give a shit either time, so what the fuck is your point?

Obviously not, but send him a fucking ticket for running the light. Which is the normal thing that happens when you run a red light.

Next time you get a moving violation, will you expect the police to pit-maneuver you?

The coronavirus telathons are the hottest ticket in town in Hollywood. You can almost hear the sounds of celebrities screaming at their agents to get them on a broadcast.

I’ll jump in for a quick conversation, if you don’t mind. (By all accounts, your responses thus far seem pretty even-keeled.)

The WHO recorded the first outbreak of the virus in Wuhan province in December 2019. (I’m happy to be corrected if I’ve got my admittedly very flexible dates wrong here.)

Is the Idiot Signal much like the Bat Signal, but a projection of a dunce cap instead of a cool bat silhouette?

The WHO is supposed to collect and provide information to countries about health risks so that *they* can prevent pandemics. They in fact did that in a timely manner.

Thank you, that’s right. Buying time isn’t the goal, it’s just the first step.

Im willing to kill you.

Frankly, I’m more OK with it every day.

Your second statement is wrong, because there is also no way to sustain any kind of economy when the health care industry crumbles under the weight of COVID-19 cases and starts a domino effect.

Predictable conservative red herring is predictable.

We basically need to crush the infection rate down to the point where you no longer have community transmission, and then require everybody who comes into the country to face a test and mandatory quarantine (like New Zealand). That then persists until we either find a vaccine or it dies out like SARS.

As a former teacher, and husband to a current high school teacher, I respond with a sarcastic “Good Luck.” I’m betting on an increase in standardized testing in an effort to “remotely gauge learning.” If there’s a way for the educational system to jump the wrong way, it will.

The whole point of flattening the curve was to give some breathing room to figure out what the fuck to do next.  It was never the final answer, the goal posts have always been mobile based on how the virus acts.

So per the WHO guidelines, we’ll never reopen.

Fuck, pardon the expression, right off.

As a public high school English teacher, I would love to hear what social distancing looks like in a classroom of thirty-five students in a 30ft.x30ft. room.
