I’m trying really hard to keep my inner Lewis Black caged but, you know, the thing about serial rapists is that actually testing the motherfucking kits would help to catch and convict them and would lead to fewer rapes!

Far more common than who thought? Because I’m pretty sure most women are not surprised by the news that when rapists get away with one rape, they go commit more. That’s what happens when a society doesn’t take rape as seriously as it should.

So I agree that it’s bullshit to have mugshots shown for some people and not for others. But for rape, I kind of wish all of the photos were of the smiling, yearbook type. There’s this perception that rapists are different - not your neighbor or your boyfriend or your brother. But they are. And the more we see that a

Oh, I don’t know. I mean, if you didn’t know the speech below was from a black man refusing to fight in Vietnam, there’re no clues in it about his color or feelings about race, so, you know, those people totally have a point!

“Why should they ask me to put on a uniform and go ten thousand miles from home and drop bombs

Exactly, and he wants to use the DNC machine that he is railing against to get elected into office (down ticket endorsements, political insider endorsements, etc etc)

To subvert the racial politics and black identity of Muhammad Ali, of all people, is astonishing on the level of trying to use Martin Luther King Jr. quotes to reprimand Black Lives Matter.

it’s basically “they were so good we didnt even CARE that they were black!!” its so awful

Really great article, Kara. I get what they’re trying to say but to me when someone writes or says “transcended race” it just feels like they’re saying “we really liked them even though they were black” or “good thing they escaped that whole being black thing otherwise we wouldn’t have paid them any attention at all.”

“many people view HRC as only slightly left of the GOP”
These “people” clearly have not spent a lot of time looking at the two parties or the candidates.

Let’s see, we have a dude who is splitting the party that he only joined this year simply because he needed to in order to have a realistic shot of being president. I don’t know how old you are but I’m old enough to remember what that shit head Nader did in 2000 and we cannot risk that again. So yeah if Drumpf becomes

I didn't vote for Sanders in my primary but I liked the things he said about high minded ideals and grass roots change and a positive, down to earth campaign. Turns out he's just a delusional narcissistic prick only in it for himself and he'd be happy to burn the DNC down for a few more headlines. Time to drop out and

08 was much closer (especially on gross vote count, since Obama did much better in caucus states). By the numbers she still should have dropped out in May, but Bernie should have dropped out in late March...

“Let the voters decide! This is not an anointment! Superdelegates shouldn’t matter.”

I will never be a Clinton fan and I voted for Bernie in the state primary. That said, Bernie,

Marvin K. Bernie you will get your ass in gear!

Oh, Abe.......I mean Bernie, it’s time to go.

Unclear leader. Bitter convention battle. Failure to come together. Splintering party. Opportunities to fight the real threat are lost while infighting distracts. The other candidate pulls ahead.

Last time she said it was in front of my friend who owns\manages about a dozen Section 8 units.

Which is amusing because my only friend in VT despises him. She is also the only conservative I spend any time with and her regular rants about people in Section 8 “living the high life” get more intolerable each time.
