Whether they know or not, it’s a very safe answer. It’s only recently that sons weren’t the end all be all of royal families. If it’s a boy, I don’t think anyone will run stories about him being disappointed. But a preference for a son would be viewed negatively and “we don’t care as long as it’s healthy” would be

Because it sells. I think it makes people feel good about their own families. Either your family is less drama or a reminder that other families have drama too.

I think your concept of diverse isn't very diverse. It's 65% to 70% white depending on the data source you use. For an American city it's size, that's less diverse than average.

By definition a place that is between 65% to 70% depending on the year/data source is not very diverse. For an American city, it’s size it’s empirically not very diverse. Chicago, Indianapolis, and even Minneapolis are more diverse.

The only place less diverse than Louisville I've lived is Northern Minnesota. Diverse compared to what is key.

But very, very American Southern when compared to every other similar sized city in America. And even that's relatively new.

I’m glad to see him getting yelled at in his home town. Now if they'd just stop voting for him. Doing it in DC might be satisfing but it's much easier to write us off.

Having a Cuban place is a vast step forward for Louisville. There are people reading about this and mentally making a note to drag their parents there when they go home for the holidays. Like my sister and I.

When he is in KY, he basically refuses to do public events. He’s become dramatically less accessable to say the average upper middle class Louisville resident than he was 25 years ago. His local staff doesn't do meetings with anyone the don't agree with. I have a better chance of running into him in DC than my parents

I don't have kids, but I'd pick up a repeat call from anyone once, just in case someone is calling from an unfamiliar phone because of an emergency!

It felt subversive which is nuts because it was in my fifth grade class library!

Hence my sitting in a conference center ballroom at an IRS sponsered event with Mary Jane's Last Dance playing.

Right? I would think a Venn Diagram of Trump supporters and big Prince fans (outside of MN) would be two circles with no intersection. Maybe in MN there is so tiny overlap but in my world of current and former Minnesotan's there is no overlap.

I've definitely had it happen with infants. It takes a bit to learn that all boobs don't dispense food. But infants are not four year olds.

I feel like the simplistic definition of “power + prejudice” was useful for explaining to white people why a black person being mean to them was not racist. But I feel like it’s been expanded so far and to so many groups without nuance that it can be used by shitty people to hide shitty behavior.

It's genetics. Some people have skin that is less prone to stretch marks. Which is one reason that acting like a person has total control of body related things kinda sucks.

You do not understand the difference. I am telling you that you hurt people like me trying live their lives.

As a person with MS, what you are doing is EXACTLY what we don’t want. MS is highly variable. It’s also highly dependent on things like fatigue and literally the weather. So some people need mobility aids one day and not the next. It’s not a progression that goes in even a semi- straight line. Going from walking fine

Exactly. I had an apartment that was 3 flights up from one side and 4 from the other. I wanted into the wrong apartment on the wrong floor after moving my clothes from the washer to the dryer. It was immediately obvious. A normal person might freeze for 30 secs before apologizing profusely, closing the door and

As someone I know said about this 25 years ago, the never thought of Bert and Ernie as adults, but as children where we never saw the adults around.
