I get that sentiment, but I live in DC and there is pretty significant downside to parading tanks down Pennsylvania Ave. It will trash the roads I drive on, my tax dollars will probably pick up the cost of that, and I’ll be stuck in traffic for repairs. So I really don’t want to ignore it.

I feel like a Bentley is over the line, but *finding* the line is really hard.

As a public policy professional who is amazed at how bad some of her collegues are at anything quantitative, I say it sounds awesome.

No, but replicability and diagnostic standards are legitimate questions to ask.

I was trying to figure that out in the original article. Like I’m not suggesting that drinking while pregnant is a good idea. I’m just wondering about definitions and replicability and stuff.

Also, there is a not insignificant cost to doing a shutdown. It’s a huge morale killer. My agency just emailed me my letter and let me log in from home to put my out off office message on. There are numerous cases where dogs that do that kind of thing for some reason don’t “count” as service animals. Probably because of badly written regulations in some places. So that’s a problem that needs to be addressed.

When I heard this was coming, for some reason I thought it would be a “cop adopts baby found at scene of fatal overdose” story. But no,of course there had to be creepy abuse of power story. Of course.

It’s my understanding that dogs for PTSD fall into somewhat of a gray area. They do perform tasks besides sitting and being comforting but aren’t always and maybe can’t it’s unclear to me be classified as service animals. Probably the designation of service animals needs to be updated.

Not much, but not because you are not a Christian, but because you are clearly I’ll informed.

I think that people just don’t like having to analyze everything the order from the point of view of how the server. I don’t mean the egregious stuff like not tipping on coupons or gift cards. But like feeling bad that if you order what you want or order something that is at some undefined limited time price you have

Because not all Christians believe those things. There are vast swaths of Christianity that don’t.

I think Nikki Haley is wrong about almost all the things. But the affair rumor is just another way to demean a woman of color with power.
