I didn't think much could surprise my old Gen X behind, but the defending of this perv that I have witnessed today is mind blowing.
It is actually pretty heartbreaking when you think about it. It just validates what was mentioned in that infamous article, and I am paraphrasing, nobody cares about black girls.
Man that was some classic ish right there, probably my favorite episode.
Maybe I am not very high minded, but I enjoyed this episode, or maybe I am just blinded by my love of the show.
I bet that it is not Noah who arrived at the hospital, he is somewhere sleeping off his bender. I bet it was Cole.
I loved Tell Me You Love Me. I still watch that one season sometimes on HBO Go. So glad to meet someone else who felt the same.
I don't think Cole is that bad. I think he is mourning the loss of his son, and the loss of his marriage. There was probably so much focus on Alison because she was the mom and that is understandable, that Cole was lost in the shuffle.
Plus, the ranch meant so much to him, and he lost that too. So I feel for him. I…
Well Noah believes he is a morally sound person, better than Helen's parents. But sometimes people are just jerks. I don't think he is as cartoonish as Whitney. I think he is just a straight male who believes the world owes him happiness.
I see your point, they stretched the Glen mayhem out too long. Way too long.
But I guess my joy at his survival tempers my anger at the plotting.
I can tell you what annoys me, these surly teenagers. I am not warming up to Enid at all.
I am surprised that people are so bent out of shape about the Glen resolution. It was probably dragged out too long but I am glad for a "happy" moment even if it is only fleeting.
Oh jeez, I hope Helen isn't sick. But that is a good guess.
My heart literally sank. I actually really enjoyed Athena's and Alison's interaction this week.
Lord give me strength.
But this Gen Xer really has no phucks to give with people like Taye. Any empathy that I had for people like him has gone the way of the VCR.
He is obviously a very troubled soul but he is also very unlikable. Didn't his own mother basically call him out as color struck? Well all know that his…
Yes the review reeks of respectability politics lite.
I am not sure, but I sure hope not. Noah sponging of another woman.
No this episode I was actually team Whitney as well.
I actually really liked episode III. I thought it tied everything together beautifully. I paid money on my birthday to see episode I and was just as bummed out as everyone else. But part III really worked for me.
First, I want to say I loved every minute of this episode. I love this show but it was action packed last night and I loved it.
I think the recapper missed a very important point regarding Noah/Alison. Once again he has latched onto a woman and living a pretty sweet life on her dime. Max alluded to it at dinner and…
I don't think this couple has nearly the chemistry that the recappers does. I didn't love this episode either. Mini Zoey D annoys me for some reason.
Initially I thought Denise was heading down wide black woman friend territory too; the twist being, oh she's gay. I am gonna withhold judgement a bit longer
And hopefully she will continue.
