I’ve had Nest thermostats and Ecobee’s. Have to say the Nest is hands down better.  Setting up programs and such is way easier. The 3rd Gen Nests now have remote temp sensors too.  Course Nests don’t have a built in speaker so you can stream Alexa/music on them....

I have a couple nice retractable fountain pens I write with at work. They aren’t hugely expensive (some fountain pens are thousands of dollars) but are in the $120 range. When they are extended to write with, it is pretty obvious how to hold it with the nib alignment and the pocket clip orientation.
