I think a heated steering wheel is much more useful, and better. Rented a car last winter that had heated seats (my normal car does too) and a heated steering wheel. Man, that was the shit!
SO far have to say the Expel paint protection film is awesome. Used to have the 3m ClearBra stuff, but it was thick, and always had an orange peel texture to it. The Expel protects the same , is far less noticeable on the vehicle (smooth finish), and has a 10 year warranty....
