“Trust the process!” [GIANT BONG RIP]
- Phil Jackson

So basically Jeter’s sales pitch to investors is “Put up a few hundred million and you’ll get to hang out with me!”

He followed up winning a championship by paying for one of the most expensive rosters in NBA history. He’s hardly cheap.

The thing is, Gilbert doesn’t offer ludicrously below-market salaries. He’s paying Ty Lue a hefty sum. He’s always paid the team’s coaching staff well. He pays the players what they’re worth.

I actually think Dan Gilbert is on to something. When you have LeBron, like half the work is done already. And you’re only going to sign the guys LeBron wants or hire/keep coaches he likes, so that’s most of the other half.

He has to pinch every penny he can so that he can continue turning downtown Detroit into his own personal fiefdom.

Here’s the thing.

I wonder if Lebron has a breaking point where he despises the owner/organization more than he loves his hometown. Let’s be honest - he can form a better Big 3 elsewhere. And he’s already done his duty for Cleveland and Akron. Where to take his talents? Milwaukee or Sacramento would crack me up. But teaming with

Worse than offering ludicrously below-market salaries, Gilbert also screwed Griffin out of a decent next gig when he refused to let him interview for jobs that were available, like Atlanta, Milwaukee, and maybe others. (Milwaukee with Griff would’ve been really interesting) A real dick move when he had no intention

She’s a white girl with a Thug Life bitmoji. I bet she has all types of cool thoughts and opinions. /s

Can you imagine the strained metaphors they used in the meeting? “Like MLK we have a dream, a dream to make the playoffs. Like Obama you give us hope that we can do it. You’re a genius on the court like Einstein. You thrill the fans like MJ. And just like JFK you know how to take a shot.”

The funniest thing about this entire Boston saga is the fact that even assuming all of these upcoming picks end up being in the lottery, Ainge has a downright bad track record drafting in the first round.

Pretty sure Doc is just going to roll with Austin at starting PG.

By all accounts the only thing the Knicks have done competently is evaluate European players. I am more than willing to give Ntilinkina a chance.

It’s pretty hard though to give the award to a guy who’s been a rookie going on 3 years and played a total of 31 games. Not saying it’s sexy, but it’s fair.

I still don’t get how he dropped to the 2nd round. I get swinging for the fences in the lottery but every bit of his college career and abilities SCREAMED 10 year NBA career as a prototypical, average 2 guard at worst.

...Did Messier nuke 9/11? What the fuck is happening.

Jazz fans. Doing stupid shit because their team sucks since forever.

See, Darko gets the bad press but he was SOOOO much worse.
