Because apparently their “great” engineers couldn’t figure out how to play by the rules by making engines that followed pollution regulations, becoming the BIGGEST AUTOMOTIVE SCANDAL ever. (matching your all caps)

Porsche’s volume sellers are SUVs based entirely on VAG chassis and engines. And you know as well as I that their “mega profitability” comes from selling the brand for a premium price.

“their”

wow. You are dense. I never said there was a super cheap version, just cheaper versions than what we get, which is accurate.

You’re mistaken; I’m not advocating Tesla’s superiority. I’m deriding supposed Teutonic “engineering”.

Wrong.

Maybe you wouldn’t be the receiver of (deserved) derision if you can prove “low-budget” Mercedes-Benz and Land Rovers exist.

Portrait of a serial pedophile.

you can expect a much larger infrastructure to follow than anything Tesla may be able to produce.

From four years ago:

False.

Porsche is an established manufacturer with a good track record. We can expect more from Porsche because of that.

And why is “will be” in the title?  There’s nothing to warrant such a statement.

And what would lead one to add “will be” when there’s zero evidence to support the statement?

You have arguably the best automaker on the planet

Quality and performance?

Why?  Are you tired of being proven wrong?  Or is a six-figure truck still a common purchase for the everyman?

Just because you keep saying “the cheap version” doesn’t mean one exists. Where are these mythical, everyman, “cheap” Land Rovers and G-wagons? That Professional G-wagon you mention? $108,000 AUD, which is +$76,000 USD. In the German market? The cheapest G500 begins at 108,000 Euros.

They only come with one solid axle, the rear.

I stand by my poseurmobile statement. You’re not getting three lockers on a G63/65/500. And their are no “work versions” of the G-wagon, unless you’re in the Bundeswehr driving 25+ year-old models. Also, the only possible “utility” model is a low production, $500,000, 7-foot high 6x6; no longer a poseur, but a showoff.
