Some ongoing series set in the present may have to answer the question “what did the characters do during the pandemic?”, but I’m not convinced there’ll be much appetite for new fiction about it while we’re all so close to it.

Her account got suspended. It’s an Achilles Heel thing.

Even in a show with fewer issues, “absolutely plot-critical,” “rarely appears” and “name actor” are three things which don’t combine well in casting.

Fuller’s show running for three seasons would have worked, I think.

I’m guessing they meant US network TV? Pretty sure HBO shows would have used it earlier than that.

Unless you regard book companies as bound to publish any book anyone brings them, this would appear to be based on the Constitutional principle of “no backsies” instead.

The others are closely connected to Ron Swanson.

I would have thought hard condemnation that tells them the person they’re fighting for is actually against them would be more effective. (Putting Trump’s inability to really do that to one side....)

But that song involves Tevye asking God what would be so wrong about him being rich, and in this case we’ve got an answer.

There’s a difference between showing a bit of range, and a role that makes about as much demand on range as possible, I guess.

Maybe not done perfectly in the classic series, but I think the “Companion finds another calling” sort of exit could work well with a bit of care.

My main thought on the episode: if you want to raise tentacle creatures without unfortunate mixups, you should probably avoid the city whose signature dish is takoyaki.

R&M also has its alien landscapes and creatures, which can be very artistically grotesque and lift the visuals beyond its main character designs. Don’t suppose this show has any equivalent?

One of WB’s attempts to create new characters at the very end of the original run of Looney Tunes releases.

Despite the name, HBO Max doesn’t seem to be aiming for the same things with its original programming as the HBO channel. It’s really Warner’s version of the something-for-everyone streaming model that Netflix and other services follow.

Sculpting in marble with a plunger is difficult work.

Your third as far as you know.

I suspect her whole plot was created to fit in with a line in one of the original films about the Falcon’s computer having a personality, and more attention got paid to that angle than any unpleasant results of it.

Though sticking to walking on concrete or carpets got a bit tricky at times.

The whole non-existing while it’s blown up and getting your memories for that period retconned in later doesn’t help with that.
