I still have my parents old solid cherry wood, floor model 32" tv from the early 80's that still works perfectly. I keep reminding them it still works fine while they have gone through 10+ tv’s since i acquired it.

Do printers fit into that category? Because i buy a new printer every couple of weeks and just chuck the old one. Basic printer, comes with color and black ink - $40. Buying both ink cartridges for that model of printer - $75.... so... ya, new printer every time!
