This was on an '01 Wrangler.

Hope everyone is ok after the storm. I got back home about an hour before it swept through. Sounds like it tore a lot of stuff up.

My first car of course. 84 Mercury Topaz. I was 16, it was 12. Gas was cheap. It was my key to freedom. Non-working AC and non-working driver side power window, so it was muggy, musty freedom in the summertime, but freedom.

Indeed. Should I have known that? It's on an older vehicle I recently bought. Never had to do it on my newer car or my wife's car.

I was at the meetup last night and got one of the stickers. They're kind of small, and Ray said they're getting some nicer ones made up for sale soon.

I don't get it....

Nice one.

I think the appeal goes both ways. You want a Maserati for the ties to Ferrari, the luxury, the reputation. The Jeep, while much less expensive than a Ferrari, has it's own appeal and own reputation. Now the Maserati has that link too, and I can see a potential Maserati buyer seeing this appeal.

I'm going to try really hard to get to the meet-up tomorrow night. I only live about 2 and 1/2 miles from downtown Royal Oak. Hopefully work will not interfere.

I definitely agree with your point, and I have an '01 Wrangler, but I can at least see the other side of things, i.e. a wealthy, prospective buyer who wants the Maserati name, but also likes the fact that it has ties to a vehicle which, like the Ferrari, is legendary in its own right. On the whole though, I think this

What did he drive? I've got an 01 TJ that my 2 year old son loves. He says it's his Jeep.

Beat me to it. Without a doubt, it led to a whole new line of off road vehicles, many of which are downright legendary in their own right.

Keep firing, assholes!

I will say this of the SE Michigan drivers I share the road with. When ANY emergency vehicle with lights and sirens on is coming, 99% of drivers will pull over and stop on the shoulder to let it pass safely, even if it's coming in the opposite direction.

Parents have a Prius. There's some interior trim that rattles/buzzes at higher speeds.

Nice! I live within easy walking distance of Woodward near 13 mile. I love the cruise. All summer long there's guys out cruising in this area. It's great.

There's a shit ton more to to Detroit than 8 mile, son. Come for a visit.
