I don’t think that’s true. Optimized timing balance could mean a bunch of things. It could mean a more aggressive ignition timing map. That would be a departure from Subaru’s very conservative timing maps. Or perhaps timing balance means a more balanced engine platform which could be great for limiting engine damage…
