I was watching the SAYU boss fight in the game “No Straight Roads” yesterday and the boss used the phrase “In the name of love, I’ll punish you!” referencing the Sailor Moon “In the name of the moon, I’ll punish you”. I was like, “Woah, how many players are going to get that reference?”

Because of the series I ended up modding a PS2 so I could play Dance Summit 2001! I’ve got the soundtracks as well. Disappointed that the remix songs in Dance Summit didn’t make it to the soundtrack.

This series got me to mod a PS2 so I could play the 3rd game in the series, Dance Summit 2001. Good times!

There are tools out there for ripping audio and images out of PS1 games and I did it with Bust A Groove 2 back in the day. They had recorded the english audio for the endings on the disc and oh man, those endings were bad. The gimmick was a terrible TV show announcer who gives an awful joke, gets booed, then talks

I enjoyed the FF12 remaster. Orchestrated soundtrack. Upscaled graphics with backgrounds. 2x and 4x speed mode for grinding. Clean up of some item drops, level stuff. Ability to choose two license boards per character. Probably some other stuff I can’t remember...

One of my first console systems was an Intellivision. Had about 35 games for it, but unfortunately it got stolen when I was a kid...

Elijah Cummings, master of disguise, or.... (truthfully I just like to imagine Cummings back in the day introducing himself as Lewis to mess with people)

God Bless Clueless Hero. The trials and tribulations of being an adult gamer...

I feel like the Bastion addition is a missed mark. A Nimrod (circa 1985) figure would have been sweeter.

And cow racing!

Welp, time to break out my Tie Interceptor and re-enlist. Man, it’s been 23 years since X-Wing vs Tie Fighter... I don’t think my flight suit is going to fit anymore...

Yeah... I giggled... here’s your star.

Well, they did go to the trouble of buying a Super Bowl ad last year for it, so some of us know about it. Here have some more feels:

Now playing

Well, I mean, if we’re all tossing in favorites:

That song would mix well with Pinball Wizard, or just drop the lyrics right in!

Wonder Twins was a lot more fun then I expected it to be. I picked it up on a lark and really enjoyed it.

Does anyone else imagine Jason in the hallways of these companies, disguised as a janitor with a faux mustache, asking employees if they could “please repeat that more clearly into the end of the mop, thanks...

Dude, that’s noble! You might want to connect with Obsidian and tell them that you respect them and their products enough to do that. I’m sure they’d love to hear that.

“Is that a real roach or one of our deco roaches... ah crap, it moved.”

I mean, only if they went the extra mile with it and put it on a turntable so while you played, the system and where you stand slowly swiveled you into a different room, so when you stopped playing and looked up, you would be in a dark broken down version of the casino with living mannequins walking around...
