Technically, there isn’t a rear diff at all, it’s a magnetic clutch pack. It locks the clutch pack as well as it can, but it’s not strong enough to fully lock, so in some situations (such as steep inclines on loose surfaces), it behaves more like a limited slip diff than a locking diff.

No proper locking diff as far as I’m aware, unless it’s been introduced on newer models. The “VTM-4 Lock” button makes the AWD system send as much power as it can to the back, but it can’t fully lock the center diff.

2012 Impreza driver here. Same unibody as the current WRX/STi, so same windows and mirrors as well. I like them.

  • Hand window cranks with an actuator that controls the motor for the windows (wait, that’s already a thing)

Fun Fact! Cattle and horses use a fleshlight contraption, but pigs get taken care of by hand. Not sure if racehorses get special privileges, though.

As far as I know, the only difference on the US-spec is the absurd bumpers.

I’ve seen some Miatas with trunk-mounted luggage racks. Not sure if they’re factory, though.

I think the acid in soda dissolves some of the styrofoam, resulting in your soda being full of styrofoam molecules. I don’t mind styrofoam cups for water, but they’re terrible for soda.

Emissions regs had been tightened not long before, and the automakers hadn’t yet figured out how to make engines work properly under the new restrictions.

Only the sub-blog where you’re followed. I’m in the Black on Jalopnik’s Flight Club and Car Buying blogs, but not on the main Jalopnik front page or any other Gawker blogs.

The golf cart was resisting arrest.

Oh, I know the answer!

Pretty sure that’s a Suzuki, dude.

Back when I was Subaru shopping a few years ago, I came across an interesting statistic: Subarus is (or was, at some point) the most popular car brand for doctors.

In my experience, streaming sites are often slow to load/laggy/low resolution. With a decent internet connection, torrents don't take long at all. I've never run out of space on a computer.

My brief wikipedia perusal is suggesting to me that it’s not a jet engine unless it’s getting its power directly from the thrust through an exhaust nozzle.

Super cool, but wheel driven makes it just a regular gas turbine engine, not a jet engine.
