I may have missed that fact that the men stated she represented them as individuals and she failed to say otherwise. My point is that she screwed up on a very fundamental aspect of being inhouse counsel — she represents the interests of the University — this is a lawyering 101 conversation that should have occurred…

This seems a bit off — maybe it's Pennsylvania law, but inhouse counsel represents the organization, not the individuals. This should be the first thing you tell the executives and then they go out and get their own counsel.
