Abstaining from breathing?
That was my thought also. However, maybe the optimal degree of toe-in for the straights precludes sufficient toe-out on the turn when using “standard” Ackermann geometry. Maybe this system gives more toe-out when needed than a standard Ackermann system allows? As I understand it, speed tend to toe-out the front…
Lara is the Magda Goebbels of the Trump Party - while husband Joseph held the high rank in the Nazi Party, Magda was, if anything, the more rabid Nazi
Exactly - look at the steady diet of rental trucks devoured by the Durham truck-peeling bridge, or the bridges on Storrow Drive- people quickly forget that they’re not in their normal ride - and hilarity ensues.
Once they’ve got a taste for dick, they’re man-eaters, they’ve gone rogue
Cur from the mortal coil, but alas not pasted to another location, since there is no afterlife
That’s classic. A fitting second act for a feisty little Renault (better than the E-type repurposed as restaurant salad bar:

Excellent - I was on a bike (green “Ireland” jersey) - thought about calling out, but you were in conversation and I didn’t want to be rude and interrupt. I see the Pao around sometimes (hard to miss)!
Every family has that creepy uncle that all the young ones try to avoid sitting next to at gatherings - the Windsors are no different

Sorry, but when I see “lube” and “party” in the same sentence, my mind doesn’t automatically think of WD40...
When it comes to working on cars, old beasts like the TR are the shallow end of the pool - they’re very basic, parts availability is great, and there’s an active online community that was a lifesaver many times. Once sorted, they’re pretty reliable, you just have to commit to a higher level of routine maintenance than…
Right-angle adaptors are life-savers - you can also get short bits for better access - or sacrifice a bit by simply cutting it down
I agree. I did a frame-off restoration of a ‘72 TR6 - a big job, but very straightforward given the relative simplicity of the car and the amount of space available. In contrast, I pulled the engine on an ‘02 Outback to do the head gaskets and clutch - a smaller job, but more complex - I was pulling and reinstalling…
This. Half the time, “professional” means “quick’n’dirty”, not “good”. I’ll let the dealership handle things on a car that’s still under warranty. The minute the warranty expires, I’ll do it myself if I can- I may be slow, but the job will be done properly.
