The TR6 uses 15” wheels with pretty tall tires ( I think I have 205/65s or /70s on there). The big wheel/tire combination is part of the styling of the car, but given its pretty firm suspension, a lower tire profile would probably loosen my fillings.

My view is that there will always be more pristine, better preserved, more original examples of my mass-produced old car (TR6), so I feel no obligation to preserve mine. I don’t abuse it, but I don’t baby it either, and I’m happy to mod it if it makes it safer, more comfortable, quicker, while maintaining the essence…
