Damn, that’s pretty

Not so much - I’d be willing to bet the physically unimposing cast iron 2.5 liter 100 hp mill in my TR6 outweighs many larger-displacement and more powerful aluminum motors

I remember when a “1600” Ford Cortina was considered sporty (compared to more pedestrian 1300), and a “2 litre” was a monster

At least there was a car there to start with - that poor Jeep looks to be ~25% of it’s original substance - I think you could shine a light through it.

This is horrifying. Stick a fork in it - it’s done

I don’t think hive seen a sillier comment......

I know it’s a bee, and so should give me the warm’n’fuzzies, compared to wasps, but sweet mother of god.....

I think the 55 limit to save gas in the 70s made sense as cars then were basically 3 box sedans and wagons with the aero of a brick. Modern cars are way more aero, and don’t incur the same drag penalty a higher speed, and usually have more gears, allowing often more than one overdriven gear. I suspect the modern cars

Sorry, American drivers are too untrained and undisciplined to safely use an unlimited highway.

Better still - do it in a car with no power steering. Every day is arm day.

Ha! Thanks - I’ll pass :-)

Better

“Unfortunately the SLC 300 Final Edition gets a Selenite Gray color, because the AMG SLC43 alone gets the special paint color called “Sun Yellow,” a nod to the “Yellowstone” color on the original 1996 SLK roadster. As yellow cars are good, this is good.”

Well, god will reward you in heaven, for one

More cars of any actual color are welcome, and yellow is tragically underused, but some cars just look better in a more subdued color, and Mercs fall into this category, IMO. A yellow SLC just screams “Florida retiree ready for some Viagra-fuelled action” to me. Add some white pants, loafers and a cravat, and I’m

I think its because no-one could hear those little-bitty fists banging on the table

I had a similar gut-wrenching feeling about 6 months after I bought the “rust-free” TR6. That first winter, I stuck it up on stands to spend some quality time inspecting the undercarriage. My first thought was along the lines of “Sweet Baby Jesus, what have I gotten myself into?”. The frame was peppered with rust

I try to use my brakes little as possible - one of the advantages of a stick is that I can more actively modulate my speed (although “back[ing] off from 75 to like 40 or 50 or whatever” would likely require more than just lifting if you’re reacting to something going on ahead) and I always leave a decent gap. 35

This should be a small utility truck, but it’s priced like a collectible, which it isn’t. If I needed such a vehicle, and it was maybe $3-4K, I’d be interested - as it is, CP. Interesting timing though - a couple of days ago my neighbor was telling me how she learned to drive in a small “Love” truck, and I wasn’t sure

Pretty common in Arkansas also
