The caption says “Cool”, but it looks like he’s saying “Wood”

Are the Gladiators available for sale yet? The Jeep site says available in “Spring 2019"(which might be now, of course). I saw one on the road this afternoon

“The LGBT.....”

The outback was cool once - the coolness evaporated when they turned a neat slightly lifted wagon with a 5MT option into yet another friggin’ crossover - with a CVT-only - mother of god....

Ahem, this is Leyland we’re talking about......?

I think your Dad was trying to toughen you up - I can’t think of any other earthly reason ti trade in a Jag - almost any Jag - for a Princess

Barkeep! A pint of Best Bitter for me, and one for my horse!

I remember the same thing - All our cars at the time had vinyl. The Princess’ interior was pimp

My neighbor used to have a couple of Austin Princesses. They were pretty decent cars* IIRC

Mother of god - climb the stairs instead of taking the elevator. Walk a couple of hundred yards to the grocery store instead of driving. The problem isn’t that people don’t have space or wherewithal to engage in exercise, it’s that people are unwilling to make even the slightest effort to get exercise. People

Next we’ll hear about the tons of yellowcake and aluminum tubes heading to Caracas - time to saddle up, Boys!!

Thank god - now the MAGAts in Ohio and Wisconsin can sleep soundly, without being murdered in their beds by hordes swarming across the southern border

Fair point. I think it’s fair to say that the 968 was the ultimate evolution of the 944. I still think the frog eye lights were a bit of a styling misstep. Wouldn’t mind a 968 though. There’s a dark blue convertible near my house, and it’s a fine looking car in the flesh.

even $14K is too much for an auto Miata. All those tears shed over what might have been can make the steering wheel slippery

The 944 S2 has the same 3 liter four, but IMO it’s a way more cohesive design than the 968. The frog-eye popup lights fit well with the general roundness of the 928, but just look odd on what’s otherwise a 944 body. Standard popups are where it’s at as far as the 944 is concerned.

Yum!

“Almost entirely rust free” sounds like over-wordy evasion to me. Combined with the “god knows what’s under there” wrap, easily fixed, yet unfixed carb issues, cracked screen and Tyvek suit-worthy interior. I like Wagoneers, but this one has too much going for it - in the wrong direction

Excellent explanation. I’ve always used “heat the outer, chill the inner” to help a too-tight press fit along, but your illustrations explain very well why this works.

Something with Mark Wahlberg in it. Haven’t seen it - sounds shite

Don’t forget “6. Be Best”
