Hence why WWE videos do so well on YouTube, at least in part. Can avoid becoming a lapsed fan while skipping the loooong shows.

Yeah, the the most beat up older luchadores all tend to be guys who did more American style bumping, like Perro Aguayo or Jerry Estrada.

To be clear, I don’t mean luchadores don’t end in a flat position. They do. But it seems like the rolling style is lower impact.

Not at all true. Just watched Great American Bash ‘96 the other day. Everything she did on that show is fully intact.

Benoit never left the Atlanta area, and never told WWE, Chavito, or Scott Armstrong (the other person he texted) that he did. They got the same “I’ll fly out as soon as I can, Nancy and Daniel have food poisoning and are vomiting blood” story as everyone else. (To be honest, that he said they were VOMITING BLOOD from

Will have more on this thread in the Benoit piece later in the week, but what happened was JBL went up to him right before they shot the testimonial and said “You don’t think he killed the boy, do you?”

Benoit is not cut out of WWF/E shows on the network, either. Only the chapter marks (and maybe some awkward commentary) indicate anything’s not quite right if you had no clue who he is. The disclaimer about not confusing the characters with who portrays them is not limited to shows with Benoit, either. That’s why it’s

hmm

He’s always been on the network. Initially, they didn’t do chapter breaks for his matches, but now they do breaks without naming him.

It was the next night on the live broadcast of ECW. ECW and SmackDown were taped the same night.

IIRC Wight Sr. was already dead, not still alive.

Fun fact: Don Owen’s Oregon territory did the kennel from hell gimmick (2 cages, dogs in between) about 20 years before Russo/the WWF.

I do think this got blown a bit out of proportion during the election. Trump PROBABLY wasn’t watching and just heard something about Vince dying.

Ugh, that was the worst. I literally can’t even conceive of how someone could find reasonable doubt in that case unless their POV was “but she got drunk, she was asking for it.”

It isn’t being ignored. Look at the calendar about what should be coming this week. Yeah, that. Plus the JBL article, Shibata article, blackballing article,  an unnamed something that I’ve been working on for months which should be done soon...nobody’s shying away from the bad things about pro wrestling.

The Team Lloyd Irvin jiu jitsu students case?

I’m sure they would have the money for it. But thanks to NJPW announcing press credential applications just two weeks(!) before the show, though,I’d be an asshole to suggest they pay for it (both for the lack of lead time in general as well as the flights/hotel being so much more expensive). So I haven’t even

Oh, also, I need to who you are behind the awesome username since you dropped a Coey reference, person who I presume is an old friend. :)

To be clear, I was saying that he’s no longer the most authoritative voice *as a reviewer*, at least speaking realistically. Even leaving personal taste aside, there are a lot of people who watch greater varieties of international AND indie wrestling.

Eh, I can buy that with his tenure, he’s got at least a $100,000 guarantee. That’s not THAT ridiculous. Do I think his take home, even before taxes, is anywhere close? No.
