My favorite is when kids that I knew who were junkies would wear Requiem for a Dream t-shirts. Or Trainspotting shirts. Talk about not getting it.

I picked this for a sleepover with my girlfriends at 13 or 14. It freaked us out. We got together a few years ago and were talking about the movie over 10 years later. Stuck with us, too.
I’m 38, so I must’ve watched this with my friends when I was 18. Two things still really stand out for me: the first being that we were initially kind of rooting for the skateboarders against the shit-talker, and then the suddenness and over-the-top nature of the violence just silenced the whole room. The other is…
I was 13 or 14 when I saw this movie sometime in the mid 90s. That movie still brings up uncomfortable squeamishness in 32 year old me. Even seeing this article gave me a slight shudder.
The only time i saw this movie i was high, i do not recommend watching this really at all

In a statement, ESPN said they are committed to fostering an environment where nobody will ever have to read an opinion with which they disagree.
I guess being 0-0 is technically undefeated.
The problem is that there are multiple reports now that Walmart, by underpaying their workers, costs the US (you and me) $2.6b a year in taxes. Given that we pay for most of the taxes (the top 20% pay 60% of taxes), that translates to $1.56b of financial aid we are providing to Walmart. They made $128b in profit last…
Welcome to the crowd! I too started like you.
Because Deadspin has certain things it likes and certain things it hates. And it will stop at nothing to promote the things it likes and destroy the things it hates. Getting a bit tired.
what an original comment
How has no one picked up on the fact that two prominent free agents had a name within a name: LaMarcGasolDridge? Seems like this should be bigger news.
“You disagree with a post? You must be stupid!”
Yes, it does, which is why I think Howard might be missing something here.
I agree about the destructive nature of racism, but, when its narrowed to white supremacy, doesn’t that sort of ignore Asia?
Good lord, dude. Get a grip.
