A universal theme - Kids can be screwed up in pretty much any decade.

A good look at what next year might bring: It'll jump to 1923, which is the year before Capone makes Cicero his headquarters.  The showrunner alludes to this and how we'll be seeing Capone reaching equal footing with Torrio:

I'd like to see Doyle and Van Alden keeping a running rivalry against Capone, Luciano, and Siegel.  It'll be interesting to see how those three take Jimmy's death as one of the pups who grew fangs got dealt with.

I love that Van Alden moves to Cicero because that does in fact become the headquarters of Capone's operations when he becomes boss, although that doesn't happen until around 1923 and 1924.  I also hope we get to see his parents next year, especially after there were two references to them this year.
