Yeah. Faux bokeh will never be bokeh. I’d rather just use a SLR to get the effect.

The world’s bokeh fetish is out of hand. Now we’re satisfied with software-infused, faux bokeh?
Nice video.
So I take it you skipped economics classes, where you would have learned that your willingness to pay a premium for higher education is set by price...
At least you’re actively fighting to curtail your generation’s stereotype by not complaining about or blaming others... <rolling eyes>
The tax cuts will offset the interest rate hike. In fact, I think that’s the plan - to raise rates but keep the money supply moving without introducing three rounds of QE to offset the rate hikes. Car buying will slow, but not to a crawl.
Every day I pass a “All new Camry” billboard on the way to work, and it makes me chuckle every time. Quite possibly the fugliest design they’ve ever had, 1970s models included. It’s like their cars look like they are constantly trying to come up for air.
HAVING SEX WITH HIS GIRLFREIND WHILE SHE WAS WEARING UNDERWEAR AND SUSTAINED A PENIS LACERATION
Pretty sad to see the one about what paint markings on sidewalks represent. Stupidest lifehack I’ve ever read.
Don’t forget - if you have a 2016+ Camry, you also have a car that looks like there’s a gaping hole in the front, so you can knock off points (or, in this case, horsepowers) for that.
What a great post.
Albert, that’s why I set up my PC as a dual-boot machine. There’s a screen that hangs for 10 seconds that asks me to pick my OS - Windows 7, or Ubuntu, and if I don’t say anything, it defaults to Windows.
My new year’s resolution is a final resolution that new year’s resolutions are nonplussed, at best.
I actually discovered them in middle school when Raising Arizona came out, and since then, I’ve been a Coen fanboy through and through. Miller’s Crossing ages like fine wine. Other films of theirs not so much. Maybe that’s because it’s a period film...??? Or because it’s excellently shot, produced, written, acted, and…
THANK YOU for this. I dropped Apple about six months ago (proprietary formats/DMA, and cost-benefit ratio of their hardware), and the bright side is, even used Apple stuff sells at a pretty high price. Now I have a Moto X4, an Intel NUC7i5 (love it!), and a Synology NAS for private cloud and I’ll never go back. The…
Michael, as always, you’re an incredible writer. Keep it up.
What ShelbyvilleSucks said. Miller’s Crossing requires two, maybe three viewings (it’s a Coen thing...), but once the mind fully “sees” it, it becomes a tremendous film.
“Knock it off, son.”
I’m a CFO at a company with 368 employees, and this is tremendous advice. If your notes are few and far between (and you’re a good performer), we’ll read what you have to say. If you’re constantly smattering us with nominal operational issues, chances are, you’ll have to cry wolf in a different way to get heard. Keep…
I believe he’s flying for work, not pleasure. Regardless, people who fly a lot are not necessarily wealthy. Some people love to travel, and save every hard-earned penny to do so. I know photographers trying to make a living in their craft who fly a lot to get the shots they need, and they are by no means wealthy. It’s…
