Yep. For me, the last beemer that looked decent was like a 2000 M5. Since then, they kind of look like they were designed for underwater travel or something.
THIS. Holy shit man, that’s exactly what I hate about beemers. They’re fugly!
I suppose BMWs are pretty good but ultimately for me the biggest flaw is having to look at them. They’re fugly, bro.
Luckily some dudes came by in a pickup with a gas can in the back and gave me a couple gallons.
No, actually. Never seen that one.
trollquotes is one of my favorite websites. I can’t find my favorites, but here are two:
The real risk is running a fuel tank so low that the engine starts sputtering because air is entering the pump. I’ve done that a few times. Would not recommend.
Subaru Starlink user here. My first new car (always bought used until this one), 2016 Legacy Limited, with all the bells and whistles. I like the car, but I fncking HATE the ‘infotainment’ system. Beyond music and phone, totally useless. And even then, it takes a few minutes for everything to sync up. Even more…
Oh sure. That’s why it’s been so difficult for me to go to full frame!

I adore that keyboard. Until just a year ago, I still had an old version with a PS/2 interface!!! Ha!
Exactly. And, for what it’s worth, I’m a 22 year finance executive and it looks like Sony’s asset position on its balance sheet is 4x that of Canon, meaning if Sony wanted to take a run at Canon they have plenty of cash to cushion the fight, whereas Canon would have to be much more savvy to thwart a direct Sony attack…
What a gorgeous shot!
Too many in-game helps. Unless you were an angsty pre-teen in the 1980s, forced to make your own maps with a pencil and some graph paper, writing down those long-ass gawd-awful save codes after dying (which were often written down improperly), and blowing on the cartridge when it wouldn’t load properly, you ain’t…
No. That was, and will always be, Adam West.
If you’re happy, great. But I’ll warn you that once you go full frame, you’ll never go back, or like me you’ll eternally drool over them (I’m still with an APS-C sensor too).
I’m still a Canon loyalist and I can unequivocally state that the Zeiss lenses for the Sonys are giving Canon a run for the money. Gorgeous, fast, impeccable. If you’ve got a Sony box, check out those Zeiss lenses. You can’t go wrong.
One last thing that has saved me a ton of money, as a bird and wildlife photographer primarily (but true for nearly all applications): try not to buy a lens with a maximum aperture slower than f/4. I made that mistake with a huge telephoto that made it nearly impossible for me to shoot even on cloudy days at full…
Good advice, unless an open mouth is part of the “story,” obviously. Two examples: 1). I like photographing birds in the middle of a call with their mouths open sometimes - many birds will ruffle their feathers strangely during a call, or pitch their heads back in a strange way (some in the corvid family actually hop…
