A Ford Flex with an intake and other mods? Really???

A different heat range of spark plug has nothing to do with detonation. That's not how heat ranges work.
It is when people spray too much oil on their K&N filter that causes sensor issues. And nasty dirty throttle body issues.
Wrong. An intercooler will take the HEATED AIR (that’s the key here), which was heated by the exhaust gasses going thru the turbo.
LOL....WHAT???
Regarding your #4: most modern cars have an under-engine cover, so the air pressure under the hood is not higher. It is lower.
Your statement is not necessarily true. How many street cars are done correctly, where the hardware changes are enough that an aftermarket tune will actually make the car better? Only in these very rare situations will racing fuel actually make a difference. Racing fuel BY ITSELF will give zero improvement, as the…
Who do you work for? Fluidamper used my shop as their main testing program for a long time (back in the late 1980s). We also did special projects for ATI, after their harmonic damper program became popular with drag racers.
As someone that’s been building race engines since 1985, and an expert in airflow & volumetric efficiency, and as someone who has extensively tested how exhaust flow effects intake pulsations with varying amounts of valve timing overlap, I can equivocally say:
Is Husqvarna new to motorcycles? I’ve never heard about them outside of the farm equipment world.
Anyone who says “pushrods FTW” is only announcing to the world how little they really know about engines and engineering.
I personally love it when young people ‘tune’ (and I use that term loosely) their engine by adding a manual boost controller, yet when they damage the engine (usually by breaking a piston) they yell and scream how shitty “xxx car company’s” engines are. They feel that they know more than the mechanical engineers that…
How is this news and Amanda Blacknurn not?
Thank God for Darwin.
Sure, keep showing dark skinned society that lawyers are the answers to all their dreams.
I am sure the ‘writer’ of this pathetic article/list struggled mightily by deciding if the Nissan was more deserved to be on the list instead of the Mazda (i.e.- Lola LMP1) diesel. You know, the one that overheated in 80% of its races for two straight years? I’m sure he beats off to how superb each car is on the Forza…
Getting your racing news and writing ideas from Internet message boards is a bad idea. The Nissan piece of shit was an even larger failure than the Aston Martin AMR-One from a few years ago.
Probably 80% of cars with illuminated check engine lights have an issue with the evap system/failed purge solenoid. I shake my head when idiots (oops.....’people’) say “it’s probably your gas cap is bad”.
Have a look around the KC Tool website. They specialize in German made tools. In the last 4 months I’ve spent about $700 on Knipex, Felo (lots of Felo) and Wiha gear.
If you plan on getting into advanced work at home, get yourself a decent work bench, a vise, and a slide hammer. You'll use those more than you think. Especially with modern cars that need CV axles replaced at the 100k mile mark.
