It's an Easter miracle!

I've only seen the Prestige once, but I find myself thinking back on it a fair bit, really. If I watched it again I wouldn't be at all surprised if it ended up being my favorite Nolan.

I'm inclined to think he's a better writer than director, but some of that may be good old Jonathan. And his casting is usually extremely good, undoubtedly.

He's sort of hard sci-fi in his approach, actually, but usually without the mountains of scientific details and exposition.

His images have a certain, firm, solid quality to them, but I would argue this comes from him primarily conceiving of his images as intriguing ideas that occur to him, and then filming them in an almost documentary, perfunctory fashion. Eh, he's not super visually distinctive, but still a hell of a lot more distinctive than Christopher Nolan, whose notion of the film image is largely that of a screenwriter, even in his good movies.

Eh, Snyder is a more distinctive director in many ways than Nolan, if more of a vulgarian fuck up. Hard to call him a hack in comparison.
