It may very well be in some sense a better adaptation of the novel than Bride of Frankenstein, but it's certainly not better than Bride of Frankenstein!

Rebecca Bunch is basically me.

That movie had some very fine qualities, and one of Isaac's strongest performances, but the more I think about it, the more I dislike it. I feel as if it ultimately ended up being in some sense a vindication of Nathan Bateman, though I imagine that was the furtherest thing from the film's intention. That being said, I

Yeah, the year has been kind of depressing for me so far, but there are plenty of important things I haven't seen yet.

I've also only seen three. I kind of like all of them to varying degrees but wouldn't say any are great films.

It Follows at number 3? I mean, it was..fun and reasonably well executed. Not all that frightening, original, or tightly plotted, though.

god damn it I keep forgetting how I need to see that movie

Frankly, if I was Luke I would have joined up with you and run the Galaxy through a Light Side/Dark Side alliance for the preservation of balance.

I knew it!

I got Yoda, but the only area where I was particularly close was Openness and Extroversion.

I'd probably put Crazy Ex-Girlfriend at the top. Not a huge fan of the Daredevil opening credits to be honest.

Can't unsee it.

Oh ok, cool. When I was browsing through my own account I forgot about your month or two ago statement for some reason, haha.

I'll try and rate you more appropriately in the future!

That's not true, actually. I gave Taxi by Jafar Panahi 4 stars.
Edit: And Mistress America
Edit Edit: And Sleeping With Other People, but obviously take that rating with a grain of salt

I should note, I'm sure there are superior films this year I haven't seen yet. Hopefully I can watch some of them before my list.

Jesus Christ. What a sad, miserable fact.

Well, yay!

Sadly, this has probably totally killed your Buffyverse adventure for now, eh? Oh well. Some of these shows are great.

In fairness, the foreshadowing on Fargo was much more specific than on that prior drama. It still seems like a strange comparison. But I'm surprised anyone was surprised there were aliens when the whole season up to this point was basically just shouting THERE WILL BE ALIENS NEAR THE END.
