I didn’t say anything about war. I am talking about spending as a whole. Its more than I feel like going into great detail about, but suffice to say spending on the four big ticket items are significantly higher than historic norms, and no one is willing to do or say anything about it.

That’s ok because there is a lot of stuff that we can stand the Feds to stop paying for.

Alas getting spending even back to the percent of GPD that it has been historically been over the last 50 years is to some people tantamount to a holocaust.

Even better if we could get Clinton’s last budget adjusted for inflation

We did simplification on both sides of my family a few years ago.

For my side the Christmas gathering is immediate family. My parents, my siblings (and our spouses), and all our kids.

Ciders are definitely the way to start out easy.
I just go with ordinary store bought cider since fresh is not available locally and I’m not willing to grind and press apples.

When I was a kid we would keep ducks every now and then.
Mostly we let them wander around eating bugs. They were a domestic breed and not prone to wandering far. That said, we did clip the feathers on one wing on the chance they try to fly off.

In the evenings we’d herd them back to a pen of sorts because while they

Hate having the counts on the menu, especially when I’m at a place I’ve never been, or a place I do not regularly frequent.

Thats how to do it before 35

I got a flu shot for the first time last month because my wife is pregnant and during her last pregnancy I got the flu(or at least something flu like) for the first time in many years and despite efforts to isolate myself and all, she eventually got whatever it was too.

In order to be meaningful it has to go a lot farther than that.

SS/Medi-everything need their formulas changed to restrict their growth as well.

The bullet has to be bitten someday, they sooner its bit, the less painful overall. But like I said, fat chance.

Fat chance of that.

As far as all but maybe 5 people in congress are concerned, the entire budget is a sacred cow that is half as large as it ‘should’ be.

The changes to the brackets (and increase in child tax credit) offsets that as well except perhaps in some rare situations.

I just don’t see such an entity as being all that independent. Its still a government agency and its biases will almost certainly tilt in favor of the government.

It is very obvious if the magnet is hitting on a nail/screw vs anything behind the wall.

Nails and screws, being only a paint layer away its going to stick like glue, and be sticking to a single point.
Anything like conduit, even if its flush behind the drywall, the feeling is going to be different.

The only downfall of

There are a number of people who would like to do away with both Grand Juries and Petit Juries, in favor of having giving prosecutors sole discretion in filing of charges, and that so called ‘professional juries’ be used at trial.

This is proposed under the notion that prosecutors are the best judge of what cases to

Because our legal system was in part based on the English system which at the time utilized the grand jury.

We keep it because (in theory) they act as a barrier to malicious or unjust prosecutions.

Its a saying
“A prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.”

Basically means that grand juries generally do not actually perform their role of being a buffer between overzealous prosecutors and the People. Prosecutors can give them feeble evidence, seek to overcharge a suspect, and the grand jury basically

In theory, its supposed to protect the People from frivolous charges being brought against them.

In practice, they mostly are there as rubber stamp for the Prosecutor’s.

In some cases (politically sensitive cases for example) they are used to give cover to a prosecutor who for whatever reason might not want to bring

The most interesting (or maybe its expected) thing is that 54 years later, they are still trotting out the claim that ‘National Security’ would be impacted.

Bullshit.

90% of the people involved in investigating and/or perpetrating are dead.
The other 10% are not too far from it, and if they aren’t well then blot out

I’m with you.

I wonder about that too, but then my protection plan is always to buy a cheap case. Yes a case may make today’s sleek sexy phones more bulky, but to me its a small price to pay for the increased durability.
