I think this still goes back to an inexperienced armorer and a largely nonchalant attitude toward safety, especially gun safety, on the Rust set. Those in charge of day-to-day operations just didn’t do their jobs very well. People in charge of safety are supposed to be anal about their jobs! Everything they do is

Baby Yoda is adorable. Baby Grinch is an abomination, as is much of the live-action Grinch.

I’d probably put, “The covid-19 vaccine “has killed an untold number of babies” in your unverified column rather than your false claims column.

Fuck these GQP’ers, but ultimately I still blame those non-voting fuckers in 2016. NOT VOTING HAS CONSEQUENCES and WHINING THAT BERNIE WASN’T YOUR CANDIDATE ISN’T AN EXCUSE NOT TO VOTE.

I don’t think anyone on this site thinks he intentionally tried to harm anyone. That said he was a producer on the film and knew about the problems of safety on the set.

The sad issue with this is that as ostensibly liberal people leave red states, those red states will become even more conservative and thus enforcing nationwide gerrymandering (in a sense) in that places with smaller, conservative populations will continue to have an outsized voice in the senate.

This is the same thing we are doing right now with covid. Conservatives say “no it isn’t a problem” did their heels in. Liberals can’t push through any change. Then we become used to it and things get pushed further to the right.

This is the final blow, but the warning signs have been here forever that EVERY ELECTION MATTERS.

The absolutely MADDENING position of many on the left, from the leaders down to the voters themselves, has been to ignore basically any election that wasn’t Federal. That grave error is what has put us here now, because

The really sick part of what she said was the casual mention of adoption being the cure all to the need of abortion.

It ignores the fact that she was in a financial position to adopt two children (which most families are not). It ignores the reality that the US already has 400k children in the foster care system, and

99% certain she’ll get to write the opinion on a 5-4 or 6-3 decision striking down Roe. It’d be the perfect way for conservatives to both stick the knife in about replacing RBG with this Federalist Society hack, while also smarmily saying, “See, we’re not anti-women - a woman wrote the decision!”.

It’s a thing white people say when they have nothing really to complain about. They make up mythical threats about being “replaced,” and have been doing so since... well since they “replaced” Native Americans.

“We see you Muslim sand (n-slur) bitch, we know what you’re up to. You’re all about taking over our country.”

During the conference Omar said that she was often told to remove her hijab when she was running for Congress.” It’s worth remembering that it wasn’t until after Rep. Omar’s election (but before she was sworn in) that the 181-year-old ban on wearing head coverings in the house was amended for religious (and other) exe

In hindsight it’s crazy that one of the most significant events in 90s pop culture was Kurt Cobain’s suicide, but I don’t recall any particular emphasis as a teen on destigmatizing mental illness or promoting mental health (beyond overtly religious, unhelpful “concern”). My age group indulged in that awful “Romantic

I believe there is intentionality in the "prestige" story being a variation on "prestige" TV. I think the satire goes both ways.

that’s good, there’s no need for us to have to watch endless seasons of Murphy’s character getting abused, it would almost be counterintuitive to the shows message.

I like the show, but it does seem like it would be better with a set ending. The first season was already getting a bit repetitive.

Good.
