Well, that’s what the breakup seemed to try to insinuate, but she was first interested in him back when he was only a tutor, when he certainly wouldn’t have been a boost to her career. When she’s first flirting with him, he hadn’t even sold the script yet. So making her into a cold opportunist in the end felt

But I actually really like ‘It’s Always Sunny,’ because their bad behavior and poor decisions are like comic-book levels of over-the-top bad.

To be fair, it’s hard to do what Master of None did because that show is UH. MAZE. ING.

I was more specifically thinking of her showing off at Gus’ jam party. But there wasn’t actually anything WRONG with her showing off in the jam session, and I think that’s another way that her traits are kind of seen through gender bias.

Here’s my hypothesis on character study, because I’m totally overthinking this. You’re supposed to root for Mickey despite her flaws, because she has what are traditionally ‘dude flaws’; she’s sloppy, she’s a stoner, she’s oblivious to people’s feelings.

She was the actress he hooked up with on the set he was working on. I get the feeling we were supposed to hate her, and to be fair she was a little bit attention-seeking, but she was also generally really nice and welcoming and warm to him, and even rolled with a shitload of drama when Mickey came and caused a scene

Oof. Fair. Although I think I’m the only person in my age range (Gen X, baby!) who missed the train on Seinfeld.

Golden Girls just got added to Hulu. I know where my week is going.

From what I’ve been hearing from everyone on my Facebook feed, the Santa Clarita diet is amazing.

I feel like the opinion of ‘these people are unlikable in the most awful ways, and I don’t know why I watched them but I will absolutely watch season two’ is the universal reaction to this show.

Well, there was an episode devoted to Cartman literally starting a new Nazi organization and rallying the town to kill all the jews (‘Passion of the Jews’). But when South Park does stuff like this, the point is that Cartman’s the VILLAIN. Nobody’s supposed to watch the show and go ‘man, that kid’s so great! I want to

Frightningly, when I read about this story on other a couple other websites, the comments were nothing but people saying that Trump SHOULDN’T send federal assistance because California doesn’t support him. Every twentieth comment someone would point out how monstrous that is, and they’d get shouted down.

Was it? I looooved the original ‘Pete’s Dragon’ as a kid, specifically because of both the songs and the camp (fuck yes, DR. TERMINUS!!!) so I was pretty wary of the remake.

It’s like they’re TRYING to look like Malfoys!

Back in those halcyon, naïve times of… um…a week ago, I used to argue that people would fail to acknowledge racism if it was anything short of people shouting “the N-word” and running around in klan robes.

“There is a crack, a crack in everything.

I dunno; with all branches of government run by Republicans, I don’t know that there’ll be a lot of good advice headed his way. The idea of Checks & Balances have gone out the window.

I think *everyone* has a lot to worry about with this. I’m frightened about the rolling back of social progress, but I’m even more white-knuckle terrified about the fact that with all three branches of government under Republican control, they may legitimately dismantle the EPA or start a nuclear war.

This is honestly one of my biggest fears about the Trump presidency. After losing the White House, the House, and the Senate, I’m terrified that they really are going to follow through with their promises to dismantle the EPA and we’ll all be living in Urinetown.

I’ve had people give me reasons that they think Hillary is ‘just as bad’ but they’re all ridiculous crazypants reasons. Like, I’ve actually had people from my hometown come at me with the whole ‘Hillary thinks it’s totes okay to chop up babies the day before childbirth’ crap and they SERIOUSLY BELIEVE IT WITH ALL
