Oh my god, I forgot all about ‘Whip It!’ Why don’t I own a copy of that? (adds to Amazon wishlist)

‘Welcome to Me’ was so good! She was on SNL during the era when I didn’t really follow it, so I’m less familiar with her non-movie career.
I just cannot fathom all the haters who insist Wiig isn’t funny. The woman is a treasure.
I could not look directly at skeleton cab driver until I was like twelve. One thing that struck me about that scene when I re-watched it last night was that in my memory when the containment unit was shut off, there were people being terrorized on the streets by just TONS of ghosts. In actuality, you only see three…
I rewatched Ghostbusters again last night; even though I have it on DVD and have watched it dozens of times even as an adult, it had still been several years since I watched it, and I was surprised at how much had been filled in or changed by memory. In relevance to this conversation; the ghosts were actually pretty…
This playlist is totally for meeee!
Oh, it’s THAT GUY! I didn’t recognize the name at first. HELL yes! I’m now kind of unreasonably thrilled about this pairing of two people I don't personally know.
I’ve had a restraining order out on someone who assaulted one of my staff members at my old job. Even when the police would arrest them, they’d only hold them for a few hours, then they’d release them and they’d be right back in front of my work. The ineffectiveness of restraining orders is infuriating.
I had a loft bed into my late 30's. It was mostly for space issues, but also no small spaces for creepers to hide.
My cat once snuck along the top of my glass shower door and GRABBED THE BACK OF MY HEAD while I was taking a shower. It literally almost scared me to death (and I do mean ‘literally’ - flailing in a wet shower with glass doors is treacherous, yo).
Right? I could 100% understand taking a picture of the murderer because it might help police identify him if he got away, but taking pictures of the woman. My heart breaks for her poor family :(
Oh, I don’t know… A kid playing with a toy gun in his front yard being shot immediately by police two seconds after they drive up. A guy purchasing a gun in Walmart who got shot down by police as he was carrying it to the register to pay for it. A guy being killed by the police because they thought he was supposedly…
The other thing that gets me is that they say they need guns to take up arms against ‘the Tyranny of Government’, but anytime there IS any kind of protest about the government infringing on civil rights, conservatives are the first to call the protesters jobless thugs and cheer on the police using as much force as…
I saw them in Cleveland last week! It was SOOOO good! And it was about 2/3rds new material. They did indeed instruct people at the beginning not to record it on their phones (their reasoning being that they don’t know the new songs well enough not to play them badly, and they haven’t done the old songs in so long,…
I just got back from Cleveland a few days ago (my partner grew up there). RNC aside, I actually really love Cleveland, and if it continues to become increasingly unnaffordable here in the Bay Area, Cleveland’s actually on the table for a relocation place.
Weeeeeall... Productive is a subjective term. Sure, you could write A 15 page essay, but there’s a good chance that the contents will just be circular rambling. There’s also a good chance that you’ll get stuck and fixated on one thing for hours. For example, I’ve had friends that would do meth before cleaning their…
^This. As part of my job, I've called the police in on domestic violence cases numerous times over the last thirteen years. Unless someone is actively beating up someone in front of the cops, the police have pretty much just said 'well, try to keep it civil in the future, okay guys?' It hasn't even mattered if there…
