I know! Yeah, I think a lot of the Tina qualities probably would read more sinister if the character was a boy. As a girl, she’s more endearing.

I didn’t mind the art style, but it took me a while to get used to all the female characters being voiced by men (except Louise). I can’t picture their voices any other way now, but when I first started watching it, it was jarring.

If I’m remembering right, the ‘pilot’ puppet was Spamela Hamderson in a different wig.

Denise had some work done in between the pilot and the series. Series Denise is all angular and is kinda creeping me out, you guys:

The ‘finalized’ Denise Muppet may look less like you. The one in the picture above was used for the test pilot, but they redesigned her for the finished series so she would look a little less like the Muppets Tonight’s ‘Spamela Hamderson.’ The series Denise is a bit more angular and slightly ‘uncanny valley-ish.’
