Why so long of a time frame? Just put 4 different designs you’d think that would work great on mars and launch it already...learn from it...and send more of the design that works best.

Why is it taking so long to design a solar powered glider/drone/blimp, etc for mars? You’d think you could have several different types of flying crafts and go exploring...and figure out which design works best and then tweak it based on how it performs.
